🦗 Titan Stick Insect – A Fascinating & Unique Pet!

Description:
The Titan Stick Insect (Acrophylla titan) is a truly breath-taking pet, known for its incredible size and subtle but stunning colours. Adults can show hints of blue, pink, teal, mint green, purple spikes, and my personal favourite—the striking violet and black underwings. Native to Australia, this fascinating insect mimics sticks—or even whole branches—thanks to their impressive adult size.

These gentle giants are incredibly easy to care for, enjoying daily spritzes of water and constant access to fresh gum leaves. They are docile, slow-moving, and captivating to observe, often swaying like branches in the wind to avoid predators.

Caring for Titans is simple and rewarding as long as you provide enough space as they grow. Enclosures should be at least 3× their length in height and 2× their length in width and depth to allow for successful moulting. I recommend upgrading enclosures as they grow—anything from glass or mesh terrariums to a simple plastic storage tub with fly screen works well.
